Windows 7 + connection wifi= babo sux?
Hello. I have some problem. I have windows 7 home premium and now internet connection 6mb/s. It's wifi connection and router is about 5 m from me. So it's close. But babo lags, I have huge spikes. When I phoned technical support (cnik and sasha told me to phone) they said that connection etc. is ok but maybe problem is with router... Some months earlier I played on other connection by cable and everything was all right. Can someone help me? If I should configure router tell me how...

I never got wireless+win7 to work with babo, tried every idea people had but in the end only solution for me is to use a cable
Re: Windows 7 + connection wifi= babo sux?
One of the reasons i switched back to xp, although you could try using wlan optimizer and disabling autoconfig and background scan:

Re: Windows 7 + connection wifi= babo sux?
do u observe ping spikes with same babo server in win7 itself?
to check it - try:
start - run - cmd - ping babo_server_ip_address -t

type in browser 192.168.1.1, pass admin user admin.
inside you'll find some options, try reduce/increase wireless beam power.

If you have problems even with cable, then it might be a problem with windows error reporting, http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-error-reporting-in-windows-7/

Then it's time for you to have a pass for your WLAN maybe? Maybe someone is using it too, maybe someone break through your pass you have now, maybe. Just give a shot and change pass.

Re: Windows 7 + connection wifi= babo sux?
since you have spikes and not constant lag this is what crosses my mind:
do you have any other computers in your LAN that maybe are doing traffic through your router?
check in task manager if anything is using your bandwidth like automatic updates for ex. or some other program that is doing smth else without you being aware of it.
try to take screen shots of processes in task manager when you dont have spike and when you do have spike, also of network bar and compare them.
best way to rule out that some1 is connecting to your wireless without you knowing of it is to turn off your wireless completely inside your router and go on cable. if the problem is still present then you can rule out any wireless problem/fix.

madaf@ka just listen to him and if problem can be solved it will be.
(first you will install teamviewer or some kind of remote software, then cmd will jump on screen ddoing all kinds of ping tests trace routing etc.. then some work in registry and you'll be saved
