Inspirational Corner

A place to write quotes, sayings and poems
Famous or not, they get to the heart
So stop reading, pick a pencil and start Wink


This is something I wrote when I was still in Mids, but I think it holds meaning for every true team so I want to share it with you:

how much you really want to
do it.

and it will be better than

you can imagine.

you will be alone with the gods
and the nights will flame with
fire.

POEM:

Prologue:

When the war of the beasts brings about the world's end
The goddess descends from the sky
Wings of light and dark spread afar
She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting

Act I

Infinite in mystery is the gift of the goddess
We seek it thus, and take to the sky
Ripples form on the water's surface
The wandering soul knows no rest.

Act II

There is no hate, only joy
For you are beloved by the goddess
Hero of the dawn, Healer of worlds
Dreams of the morrow hath the shattered soul
Pride is lost
Wings stripped away, the end is nigh

Act III

My friend, do you fly away now?
To a world that abhors you and I?
All that awaits you is a somber morrow
No matter where the winds may blow
My friend, your desire
Is the bringer of life, the gift of the goddess
Even if the morrow is barren of promises
Nothing shall forestall my return

Act IV

My friend, the fates are cruel
There are no dreams, no honor remains
The arrow has left the bow of the goddess
My soul, corrupted by vengeance
Hath endured torment, to find the end of the journey
In my own salvation
And your eternal slumber
Legend shall speak
Of sacrifice at world's end
The wind sails over the water's surface
Quietly, but surely

Act V

Even if the morrow is barren of promises
Nothing shall forestall my return
To become the dew that quenches the land
To spare the sands, the seas, the skies
I offer thee this silent sacrifice

INTERPRETATION:

Prologue:

When the war of the beasts brings about the world's end
The goddess descends from the sky
Wings of light and dark spread afar
She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting

Act I:

The infinite mystery
The gift of the goddess is what the three men seek
We are disquieted by our actions
But their fates are scattered by war

One becomes a hero, one wanders the land
And the last is taken prisoner

But the three are still bound by a solemn oath
To seek the answer, once again

Act II:

Though the prisoner escapes, he is gravely wounded
His life is saved, however
By a woman of the opposing nation

He begins a life of seclusion with her
Which seems to hold the promise of eternal bliss

But as happiness grows, so does guilt
Of not fulfilling the oath to his friends

Act III:

As the war sends the world hurtling towards destruction
The prisoner departs from his newfound love
And embarks on a new journey

He is guided by hope that the gift will bring bliss
And the oath he swore to his friends

Though no oath is shared between the lovers
In their hearts they know they will meet again

Act IV:

The prisoner meets the friend who wandered. The wanderer is dying and the world is ending. he is furious that the prisoner gave up on their quest to pursue love while he remains loveless. The wanderer knows that in order to end it one of them must die. And so he initiates a fight to the death. The prisoner is unable to kill his old friend, and allows himself to be killed.

Act V:

The prisoner's sacrifice was the gift of the goddess, and its realization saved the world. The prisoner never returned to his lover, rendering her LOVELESS, the namesake of the poem. She was not alone however for her lover died and saved the world, and she would have him as long as she lived in the world. And so the prisoner's sacrifice saved the world and his love.

Love is but a fleeting thought
Never a seed allowed to grow
Smothered in prodigious onslaught
My rancor I let flow

The epitome of hatred
Malevolace incarnate
Putrid heartless care I've bred
Your adoration castrate

Was written a few months back

Maybe this one is aesier to swallow:
Should I ever write a song, it would be about you
It would say how we met, just out of the blue
Of two lovely people, both with a broken heart
And the discovery of a true love that will never part.
How with just one look came a love so pure,
that left us both knowing
this was meant to be for sure.

Should I ever write a book, it would be about you
How you came into my life, and showed me what to do
Of what true love is truly about
That leaves me so joyous, to the world I want to shout!
Every page would be filled with our lives that we share
How each and every day we would show
one another that we care.

Should I ever write a poem, it would be about you
So many words to say, yet it would only take a few
With such joy, a feeling of pure true love
We were surely blessed from up above,
To you I shall continue each and every day
Showing you my feelings
that need no words to say.

Was written a few years back

Can't seem to fall asleep so why not post something huh?

Ah, it's good to see there are some poets among us that are not afraid to show some heart.

The first poem is heavy, and if my interpretation is correct, then it's quite sad. Hope it won't remain like that forever, though.
The second one is much lighter for the spirit indeed. I just wish the cronological order in which they were written would have been the opposite.

And here's a quote I truly like:

It was more of a lashing out at everything and everyone. I can see how it could be interpreted as sad or that people would be saddened by such hate.

I walk the face of earth once more,
a mindless puppet, my strings are torn.
the creaky bones, the bad eyesight,
yet the chance to turn wrong to right.
wars-a-waging, old mans guilt,
the worlds now on more then just a tilt.
parents weeping, children slain,
bloody thoughts, fear will reign.
I look in the shadows, a creature did lurk,
he whispered to me, hiding a smirk.
"Thou shalt be killed if thee can't find,
the demon lurking in thou mind."
So off I ventured, to quench my thirst,
of corpses piled with hearts-a-burst.
And on that quest what did I see?
